GNPW – Rio Poti Energia
Rio Poti Energia, a company of the GNPW group, has been a beacon of innovation and sustainable development in Brazil’s solar energy sector. With the concession of two photovoltaic plants under construction in Piauí, in the municipalities of Altos and Campo Maior, the company is paving the way for cleaner and more efficient energy generation. With a total of 10MW of installed power, the plants not only avoid the emission of polluting gases but also present a low maintenance cost, promoting robust economy in energy consumption contracts through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
The Rio Solar Consortium, a partnership between the GNPW Group and V-Power Energia, is a shining example of how PPPs can be utilized to promote solar energy. Winners of the Solário Carioca PPP, the consortium is developing a photovoltaic plant in Santa Cruz, on the land of a former landfill. This project not only reuses a previously unused space but will also provide energy to public buildings, generating an estimated annual saving of R$ 2 million for the municipality and powering approximately 45 municipal schools or 15 Emergency Care Units (UPA).
